Called Giggity ribs - from an ND message board I peruse once in awhile:
Giggity Ribs
Soak ribs, either pork or beef, overnight in ginger ale in the fridge (should be damn close to 100% covered by liquid).
Bake ribs, still in ginger ale, in oven for 4 hours at 350 degrees (cover with foil; folks recommend using those disposable foil baking pans).
Remove from ginger ale carefully (they'll be slough-off tender) and refrigerate for at least four hours to help them solidify before grilling.
Grill over med-high direct heat for about 10 minutes a side, slathering with a good BBQ sauce. I like my sauce slightly carmelized and the rib tips and edges blackened--you can grill to taste.
Remove from heat, gorge, repeat as necessary.
