Our little lemon

Thought ya'll might be interested in baby Cook's progress:

This week he/she is the size of a lemon.

I'm in too

We miss Lolo and Lola!

The pest control guy is here right now. Turns out those "flying ants" we've been finding all over the kitchen and living room are wasps. He's hunting for a nest as we speak. Ah homeownership.

I am In!!

I figured out how to join the blog.

Jeff - I have made the flight reservations for Chi-town from July 4 to 6. I left you a message.

Cleveland Sports Blog

While perusing the internets, I came across this blog.

Seems like a good way for us expats to keep up on Cleveland sports.

Among the things I learned on the blog this afternoon:
- Joe Borowski is now back as the Tribe's closer
- Sabbathia is 2-3 in his last 6 games, despite giving up only 9 earned runs
- The Cavs are shopping around for a point guard; Michael Redd, Kirk Hinrich, and Jose Calderon were the top names being thrown out there

Your summer BBQ necessity

Called Giggity ribs - from an ND message board I peruse once in awhile:

Giggity Ribs

Soak ribs, either pork or beef, overnight in ginger ale in the fridge (should be damn close to 100% covered by liquid).

Bake ribs, still in ginger ale, in oven for 4 hours at 350 degrees (cover with foil; folks recommend using those disposable foil baking pans).

Remove from ginger ale carefully (they'll be slough-off tender) and refrigerate for at least four hours to help them solidify before grilling.

Grill over med-high direct heat for about 10 minutes a side, slathering with a good BBQ sauce. I like my sauce slightly carmelized and the rib tips and edges blackened--you can grill to taste.

Remove from heat, gorge, repeat as necessary.

Let's give this family blog another whirl...

How about starting with an album from Francesca's first birthday:
